Original 1st printing 15&3/8 x 22&1/4" concert poster for the Grateful Dead and Quicksilver Messenger Service appearing at Governor's Hall in Sacramento, CA on 12/28/1966.
Art by Ogden, image ("Vivid Vision" A/K/A "Beaux Arts Ball-Version 2") is featured in the Art of Rock on page 260 (plate 3.14).
Medium-thin flat index stock poster is in decent/used (B/B- to B-) condition; there are areas of missing paper in three of the four corners, along with a tack hole in the top right corner tip, a decent-sized diagonal bend leading up to a small edge tear in the upper right margin, a small wedge tear above "Goathead", a series of thin horizontal bends traversing the lower portion of the image area, a fairly extensive amount of edge wear/creasing, a few small edge tears scattered around the outer margin, light toning and a couple of pulls on the reverse... this one has definitely been around the proverbial block.
Conditional issues aside, for a 55-year-old poster it doesn't look all that bad- the image area is intact and the colors are strong.
