Description

Original 1st printing 5&1/2 x 8&1/2" concert handbill for the Paul Butterfield Blues Band appearing with Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA from 3/25-27/1966.

Art by Wes Wilson, image is # 3 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.

Medium-thin flat stock handbill is in (physically) very good (B/B+) condition; there is a small soft dime-sized stain in the upper left corner, along with a few tiny handling dings and a corner-tip bump or two... however, this particular example has been HAND-COLORED in a variety of different color magic markers (yellow, red, green, black, hot pink and blue) right around the time of the show by someone who picked up the handbill on Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley.

ONE-OF-A-KIND early Family Dog artifact with a very creative coloring job.
