Description
Original 1st printing 23 x 17&1/2" untrimmed printer's proof concert poster for the Dinosaurs (featuring John Cipollina (Quicksilver Messenger Service), Robert Hunter (Grateful Dead), Spencer Dryden (Jefferson Airplane), Peter Albin (Big Brother & the Holding Company) and Barry Melton (Country Joe & the Fish) appearing at Wolfgang's in San Francisco, CA on 9/24/1983.
Art by Alton Kelley and Randy Tuten, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 354 (plate 4.63) and has been SIGNED in silver ink by Randy.
Medium-thick glossy-coated index stock proof is in near mint to excellent (A-/B+ to B+) condition; there is a soft 1" vertical bend in the lower right corner, along with trace of surface wear (a few stray fingerprints/light smudges here and there) and a few stray edge dings scattered around the outer margin area, otherwise fine.
Nice-looking ARTIST SIGNED example of this amusing early-'80's Kelley/Tuten collaboration from the Dinosaurs series.
