Description

Original 1st printing 11&1/2 x 15" 16-page newsprint concert/event program (printed by the Seattle Helix underground newspaper) for the 2nd Sky River Rock Festival, held in Tenino, WA from 8/30-9/1/1969.

The second edition of the festival featured appearances by the Flying Burrito Brothers (with Gram Parsons), the Cleanliness & Godliness Skiffle Band, the Collectors, Congress of Wonders, James Cotton Blues Band, Country Weather, Country Joe & the Fish, Crome Syrcus, Floating Bridge, Frumious Bandersnatch, Buddy Guy, Larry Coryell, Charles Lloyd, Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks, Dr. Humbead's New Tranquility String Band, Kaleidoscope (with David Lindley), (Mississippi) Fred McDowell, Steve Miller, the New Lost City Ramblers, Pacific Gas & Electric, Mike Russo, the Sons of Champlin, Alice Stuart, the Youngbloods and many more.

Medium-thin flat newsprint stock program is in excellent (B+) condition; a touch of edge toning, a semi-flattened center fold (as issued), a touch of handling and a hint of corner-tip wear, otherwise fine.

Very neat period Festival artifact with a map, band bios, photos and a really cool/trippy centerfold. Read more about the event (complete with first-hand recollections) HERE:
