Original 1st printing/final state (final lineup/red "Pop Festival" lettering) 17&3/8 x 23" concert/event poster for the 8/31-9/1/1969 New Orleans Pop Festival, held at the Baton Rouge International Raceway in Prairieville, LA.

 Art by St. Germain, this version of the poster lists festival participants Canned Heat, Chicago Transit Authority, Janis Joplin, the Byrds, Grateful Dead, Oliver, Iron Butterfly, Country Joe & the Fish, It's A Beautiful Day, Santana, the Youngbloods, Dr. John the Night Tripper and Tyrannosaurus Rex (featuring Marc Bolan), a "Custom Bike Show", "Heavy Fireworks Display" and more. Not listed (but did appear): Jefferson Airplane (with Glen McKay's Headlights), Lee Michaels, Sweetwater, Cat Mother and a host of local acts.

 Thin glossy stock poster is in good (B) condition; there are a couple of small wedge tears/pulls along the top margin, with a small diamond-shaped hole in the top center margin and a 1" tear in the upper right corner, pin/tack holes in the lower left/right corners, a light amount of toning with a few VERY soft moisture spots along the left side of the image area, a few stray thin bends, pin-prick surface spots and light creases here and there, a touch of moisture rippling to the paper and a small staple hole/wedge in the bottom center margin and a set of tape pulls on the reverse, otherwise OK... a presentable example of the (somewhat hard-to-find) glossy stock/final state NOLA Pop poster.
