Original 1st printing 5&1/4 x 7" blank-reverse concert handbill for the Grateful Dead appearing with Chuck Berry and Curly Cooke's Hurdy-Gurdy Band at the Carousel Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 3/29-31/1968.
Art by Steve Catron, image ("Acid/Berry/Pebble Dropper") is featured in the Art of Rock on page 180 (plate 2.163).
Medium flat index stock handbill is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; there are a couple of small tears, a 2&1/2" vertical bend and a tiny surface pull in the right margin, along with a couple of soft/rounded corner tips, a tiny 1/8" nip out of the lower left margin, a bit of edge wear, a small 1/4" tear in the bottom center margin, a light amount of toning and a few light handling dings/thin bends hiding within the image area, otherwise OK.
A bit worn, but definitely a presentable example of this ICONIC 1968 Grateful Dead image.
