Description

 Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" 30-page concert/event program and 3&3/4 x 4" pass/ticket (Sunday 8/13) for the 1967 Mariposa Folk Festival, held at Lake Innis, Ontario (Canada) from 8/11-13/1967.

Design by Bob Martel, Gary Preet (cover) and more, program contains photos, essays, ads for local and national businesses, record/management companies, short bios on performers and a full schedule of events. Participants in this edition of the annual event included: Joni Mitchell, Tom Rush, Staple Singers, Buddy Guy, David Rea, Rev. Gary Davis, Kensington Market, Richie Havens and MANY more.

Medium-thin flat index stock interior (thick index stock cover) program is in good (B) condition; there is a bit of wear on the outer covers (pin-prick stains, edge toning and a few creases, along with a bit of spine wear), along with a missing staple in the upper left margin (causing minor page separation along the interior spine), a bit of wear along the outer edges of the pages and a few other little minor dings here and there, otherwise OK- no cut/missing pages, scribbling or additional wear, a fully-intact/complete example.

Medium-thick vellum stock ticket/pass (number 662) is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; there is a small punch hole in the top center with a small piece of string attached (as issued-pre-lanyard), along with a bit of light handling wear, a few tiny pin-prick spots and a bit of toning around the outer edges and a couple of tiny corner-tip bumps, otherwise OK.

As an added bonus, the pass has been HAND-SIGNED (in blue ballpoint) by event performers Leonard Cohen (who added "all good things" and Buffy St. Marie (who added "same for me").

REALLY unique pair of late-'60's Mariposa Folk Festival artifacts with lots of great ads, bios, essays and much more.... not to mention a VERY cool set of signatures.
