Description

 Original 1st printing 23 x 33" large silkscreen concert poster for a Hells Angels-sponsored show ("A-Wake-Ning") featuring the Grateful Dead, held at the Anderson Theatre in New York City on 11/23/1970.

 Artist unknown (likely a local member of the club), medium-thick flat stock hand-pulled silkscreen poster has been professionally restored to excellent (B+) condition;  the piece was flattened out (it had been rolled up for many years) with a series of pressed-out thin stress creases (a few with minor touch-ups) scattered throughout the image area, along with a bit of edge/corner repair (tears sealed), a couple of surface repairs (a tiny pull on "For The Living" was filled in, along with the previously-mentined creases) and a light cleaning around the edges to remove a bit of surface dirt, but overall it looks REALLY nice.

 Impressive (and imposing) oversized 1970 Dead/HA poster from NYC's notorious Lower East Side. The actual date of the recording has been disputed (most likely Fillmore East 11/16), but here it is anyway;
