Description

Original 1st printing 6&5/8 x 9&1/2" concert handbill for the American Folk, Blues and Gospel Caravan, a multi-act show featuring appearances by Muddy Waters, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee, Reverend Gary Davis, Otis Spann, Mississippi John Hurt and Cousin Joe Pleasants, held at the Town Hall in Birmingham, England on 5/2/1964.

Design by/printed by Hastings Printing Co., thin flat stock handbill is in very good (B/B+) condition; there is a semi-flattened horizontal center crease, along with a bit of diagonal corner creasing (all four corners with a hard bend in the upper left corner), light handling wear and a couple of tiny bends and a stray nip tear or two lurking around the outer margin area, otherwise fine.

REALLY COOL little pre-psychedelic-era concert handbill from the 1964 edition of the annual AFBGC tour, check out a great little information page about the event (with film footage!) HERE:
