Description

Original 1st printing 11&7/8 x 24&1/4" concert poster for Jefferson Airplane, the Paul Butterfield Blues Band and the Grateful Dead appearing together at Winterland (*cancelled at Winterland/shows moved to the Fillmore) in San Francisco, CA from 10/7-8/1966 (an additional show was subsequently added on Sunday the 9th).

Art by Wes Wilson, image is # 30 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series.

Medium flat vellum stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; there are tack holes in all four corners, along with a series of semi-pronounced creases scattered along the upper margin area, a 2&1/2" diagonal bend in the upper right corner/margin, a few tiny pressure creases/dings scattered along the top/bottom margins, a small pin-prick stain in the lower right edge, a pair of thin scratches in the lower left margin (going through "7"), a couple of tiny corner-tip splits/creases, a small bend in the left center margin, a very thin soft horizontal/diagonal bend in the upper left margin and a trace of age spotting on the reverse, otherwise OK.... most of the cosmetic issues on this one aren't all that intrusive, it looks pretty good overall.

A very decent-looking original 1st printing example of this ICONIC early Bill Graham poster.
