Original 1st printing 14 x 21" concert poster for Santana appearing with Steppenwolf and the Staple Singers from 8/27-29/1968 and the Grateful Dead appearing with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and the Sons of Champlin from 8/30-9/1/1968, all shows held at the Fillmore West in San Francisco, CA.
Art by Lee Conklin, image is # 134 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series.
Medium flat index stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there are a series of thin vertical stress creases extending from various points along the top edge ranging in size from about 1&1/2" to about 5" (these are inherent to a small % of the print run), along with a 1&1/2" tape residue stain in the top center margin, a couple of minor corner-tip creases, a few soft handling dings hiding within the image area and a couple of tiny scuffs on the reverse, otherwise fine.
An overall GREAT-LOOKING 1st printing example of Lee Conklin's oft-requested (and legendary) "Santana Lion" image.
