Pair of original 1968/69 local-show concert handbills for Sacramento-area rock band Glad (formerly the New Breed, featuring Tim Schmidt (Poco, Eagles) at Governor's Hall and at Encina High School (both in Sacramento, CA).
First is a 4&5/8 x 6&3/4" handbill for a show with the Nate Shiner Blues Band at Encina High School (where several members attended high school) on 11/27/1968; art by Becky, thin flat stock handbill is in decent/used (B/B- to B-) condition; there are numerous staple/pin holes (a couple of them with tiny drag tears) in all four corners and in the top/bottom center margins, along with a pronounced horizontal center crease, a couple of corner tip bends and a light to moderate amount of creasing... definitely a survivor, but intact.
Second is a larger 5&1/2 x 8&1/2" card/handbill for a show with Asmodus (Family Tree) at Governor's Hall on 3/7/1969; art by "CAS", medium-thick flat vellum stock handbill is in very good (B/B+) condition; there are staple holes in all four corners, along with a bit of minor edge/corner-tip creasing, a few light handling creases and a touch of surface dirt, otherwise fine.
VERY COOL pair of pre-Poco/Eagles Tim Schmidt items from Sacramento. Check out the band's only album HERE:
