Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert/event flyer for the Gathering of the Tribes/Human Be-In, held at the Polo Grounds in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park on 1/14/1967.
 
 This version lists appearances by Lenore Kandel, Timothy Leary, Michael McClure, Allen Ginsberg, Gary Snyder, Richard Alpert, Jerry Rubin, Dick Gregory, Lawrence Ferlinghetti and "all SF rock bands" (which included Jefferson Airplane, Quicksilver Messenger Service, the Charlatans, the Grateful Dead and more).
 
 Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley with a photo by Casey Sonnabend, image (alternate-color flyer) is featured in the Art of Rock on page 198 (plate 2.217).
 
 Thin flat stock flyer is in used (B-) condition; there is a fairly heavy amount of "mouse bite" wear (numerous tiny nip tears) along the bottom margin, along with dark tape stains in all four corners, a flattened horizontal center crease, a fairly moderate degree of toning, a few stray scuffs/stains and tiny pin-prick holes here and there, a bit of light creasing and a set of tape shadows on the reverse.... definitely more of an artifact than anything, but a pretty cool one.
