Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" Agency for the Performing Arts (APA) 2-page typed contract for an appearance by Jefferson Airplane at the Earl Warren Showgrounds in Santa Barbara, CA on 10/7/1967.
Contract has been HAND-SIGNED TWICE by both the promoter (Jim Salzer, in blue pen) and band leader/representative (lead singer Marty Balin, in green pen).
Thin flat stock contract is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; as it is a piece of heavily-used (and worn) office material, there are a couple of tiny wedges of missing paper in the top left corner (staple wedge pulls), a couple of minor creases/bends, flattened-out folds and other assorted issues here and there, but for a 50-plus-year-old piece of used office material, it has survived quite well.
VERY COOL one-of-a-kind J.A. concert artifact, including details about set length (a single one hour set), the band's fee ($4,500), sound system requirements and more. Check out other listings for additional Jim Salzer contracts for Canned Heat, Big Brother & the Holding Company and Buffalo Springfield.
