Original 14 x 17" 1983 mixed-media (mostly pencil and art) marker on artist's sketchbook vellum (accepted) proposal design for a t-shirt design for the Grateful Dead's 10/31/1983 Halloween show at the Marin County Veteran's Auditorium in San Rafael, CA, along with an ARTIST-SIGNED (in gold ink) 14 x 18" test-print silkscreen print on felt (pelon) featuring the finalized design.

 Art by Alton Kelley, artwork is in superb shape- a letter grade is mostly irrelevant in this case as it is a one-of-a-kind original artwork, but it is in pretty nice shape overall- no major issues other than a few small marker scratches around the outer margin, a pair of pin holes in the upper left/right corners, a few handling dings, a preliminary test sketch on the reverse (see photo) etc... as this item came directly from the artist's studio, there is a fairly standard amount of wear- not too much, but a little. No problems with the pelon, it is a mostly-clean specimen with no real issues.
