Original 1st/only printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert flyer, "PEACE" (a benefit for 1st Congressional District write-in candidate Phil Drath) featuring Joan Baez (with Mimi Farina)** appearing with the Grateful Dead and Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Mount Tamalpais Outdoor Amphitheater in Marin, CA on 10/8/1966.
Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley, image ("PEACE") is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 228 (plate 2.325)- this is the 1st-state version (**Joan Baez and Mimi Farina cancelled and were replaced by Bola Sete).
Thin flat stock flyer is in fantastic near mint to excellent (A-/B+ to B+) condition; aside from a nearly-invisible soft vertical bend running along the right margin and a well-camouflaged soft pinch ding or two hiding somewhere, this example is in absolutely tip-top shape.
An absolutely GORGEOUS specimen of one of the most popular early Grateful Dead images, I haven't had one this nice in quite a while.
