Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert flyer for Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) appearing with Quicksilver Messenger Service and the Gladstones at Monterey (CA) Fairgrounds Dance Hall from 7/2-3/1966.
 
 Art by R.R. Branaman, image (poster) is featured in the Art of Rock on page 265 (plate 3.33).
 
 Thin flat stock flyer is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there are pin/tack holes in the upper left/right corner tips and in the top center margin, along with a few tiny pin-prick glue residue spots (about 1-1&1/2") in the top center margin, a tiny pin-prick stain in the lower left margin and a pair of tape residue shadows on the reverse side, otherwise it is a SUPERB example of this fairly early Big Brother/QMS flyer from Monterey; Janis Joplin had only been with the band for a few weeks by the time of this gig.
