Description

Pair of original 1st printing 14 x 20" (appx.) concert posters for a set of Family Dog-produced 1967 shows held at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA and at 1601 West Evans in Denver, CO, both headlined by the Jim Kweskin Jug Band.

The Avalon poster is for a series of shows held from 12/8-10/1967 with the Sons of Champlin, while the Denver poster is for a pair of shows held from 12/1-2/1967 with Solid Muldoon as the opener.

Art by Rick Griffin and Victor Moscoso, images are #'s 95 (Avalon) and D-13 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.

Medium-thin flat index posters are both in about near mint (A-) condition; the Denver poster has a tiny stress bend along the lower left corner and a couple of tiny handling creases in the upper right corner, the Avalon poster is pretty close to mint- no discernible/obvious flaws to speak of.

KILLER set of original 1st-printing 1967 Family Dog posters designed by two of the most powerful artists of the era.
