Original 1st printing 5&3/4 x 8&1/2" concert handbill for the Grateful Dead appearing with Quicksilver Messenger Service and the New Tweedy Brothers at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 6/10-11/1966.
Art by Wes Wilson, image ("The Quick & the Dead") is # 12 in the Family Dog/Avalon series and marks the first time a skeleton was used to advertise a Dead show.
Medium-thin flat stock handbill is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there are flattened horizontal/vertical folds, along with a couple of soft diagonal bends in the lower left/right corners, a few light handling dings here and there, a couple of ultra-tiny pin-prick spots/scuffs hiding within the image area and a couple of tiny spots on the reverse side, otherwise it is a GORGEOUS example of this early (and iconic) Family Dog handbill.
