Original 1st printing 12&7/8 x 19&3/4" concert/event poster for beat poet Allen Ginsberg and Swami Bhaktivendanta appearing along with the Grateful Dead, Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) and Moby Grape in a benefit* performance (*for the San Francisco Krishna Temple), held at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA on 1/29/1967.
 
 Design by Harvey Cohen (*thanks Andy!), image ("Krishna Consciousness Comes West") is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 107 (plate 2.18).
 
 Medium flat vellum stock poster is in near mint to excellent (A-/B+ to B+) condition; there is a hairline-thin diagonal bend in the lower right corner, along with a few scattered light pinch dings around the outer margin area and a small pin-prick spot just beneath "8PM", otherwise it is an EXCEPTIONALY nice-looking example of this early 1967 Avalon benefit concert poster with a great lineup and a cool design.
