Original 1st printing 14 x 16&7/8" concert poster for Santana appearing with the Sons of Champlin and Dancing Food & Entertainment at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 3/21-23/1969.

 Art by Bob Fried, image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 111 (plate 2.31) and is part of the Soundproof Presents/Avalon series. 

 Medium-thick glossy-coated index stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; in addition to the trademark inking issues that are usually inherent to this particular poster, there are tiny bends in the top/bottom left and lower right corners, along with a series of ultra-tiny pin-prick spots running along the top margin (and on the reverse), a minor amount of surface scuffing, a tiny surface pull in the bottom center margin and a series of pinch/stress creases scattered throughout the image area, otherwise it is a fine-looking example of Bob Fried's classic "surfing lion" image from the Soundproof/Avalon series.
