Description

Official promoter-issued (Winterland Productions 1982) 2nd printing 14 x 21" concert poster and original 1st printing 4&5/8 x 7" stamp-box-reverse concert card/handbill for Santana appearing with Steppenwolf and the Staple Singers from 8/27-29/1968 and the Grateful Dead appearing with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and the Sons of Champlin from 8/30-9/1/1968, all shows held at the Fillmore West in San Francisco, CA.

Art by Lee Conklin, image is # 134 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series. *poster is HAND-SIGNED by Lee Conklin in silver ink

Medium-thick glossy-coated index stock poster is in excellent (B+) condition; there are a few tiny edge dings and a bit of creasing/ink breaking along the extreme lower right margin, along with a couple of tiny edge scratches that have been gone over with razor-tip pen (very hard to see unless you look closely) and a trace of handling, otherwise fine.

The card (printed on flat index stock) is in mint/near mint to near mint (A/A- to A-) condition; a VERY sharp/clean example overall.

Very sweet pair of Grateful Dead/Santana Fillmore items with a nice Lee Conklin signature.
