Original 1st printing 16 x 22&1/2" concert/event poster for the (1st Annual) Seattle Pop Festival, held at Gold Creek Park in Woodinville, WA from 7/25-27/1969.
Poster lists appearances by the Doors, Bo Diddley, the Flying Burrito Brothers (with Gram Parsons), Ten Years After, the Guess Who, Murray Roman, Santana, Chicago Transit Authority, the Youngbloods, Tim Buckley, It's A Beautiful Day, the Byrds, Charles Lloyd, Albert Collins, the Flock, Ike & Tina Turner, Bo Diddley, Crome Syrcus, Lonnie Mack, Floating Bridge, Chuck Berry, Blacksnake, Spirit, Led Zeppelin, Alice Cooper, Vanilla Fudge, Rockin' Fu, Retina Circus Light Show and Lee Michaels (*not all of the acts listed appeared, but the Doors and Led Zeppelin are both confirmed appearances)
Art by John Moehring, image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 258 (plate 3.6).
Medium-thick to thick glossy-coated index stock poster is in good (B) condition; there are multiple pin/staple holes and tiny creases in all four corners, along with a series of tiny hairline creases scattered around the outer margin area (and a few within the image area), a 1/4" tear in the upper right margin, a couple of tiny pin-prick surface spots/light handling dings here and there and a small stress bend or two hiding within the image area, otherwise OK.. as with every other example of this poster I have seen (including the example in the AOR), this one looks like it was put up at the time for show promotion.
KILLER original 1969 PNW Pop Festival item from the only documented time the Doors and Zeppelin appeared on the same bill. Here's a cool glimpse of a couple of minutes of the Doors' performance, filmed by an audience member;
