Description

Original 1st printing 4&1/8 x 7&1/4" concert postcard for Tim Buckley appearing with Blue Cheer and the Stooges (featuring Iggy Pop) on 11/21/1968, again with Terry Reid and Wilson Mower Pursuit on 11/22/1968, and with Caste on 11/23/1968, followed by the Jefferson Airplane appearing with Frost on 11/24/1968, all shows held at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit, MI.

Art by Carl Lundgren and Jerry Younkins, image is #118 (card #65) in the Russ Gibb Presents/Grande series and is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 303 (3.158). (OPC-B in the Eric King guide)

Medium thin flat vellum stock card is in near mint (A-) condition; aside from a tiny pin-prick spot in the lower right margin and a couple of spots on the reverse, it is a VERY sharp example of this highly evocative Grande card featuring a stunning portrait of Grace Slick.

According to at least one venue employee, members of the Grateful Dead showed up to jam with the J.A. on the 24th.
