Original 1st printing 20 x 14" concert poster for the 2nd Annual Tribal Stomp, featuring Quicksilver Messenger Service appearing with Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) and Oxford Circle at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 2/17-18/1967.
Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley with a photo by Bob Seidemann, image is # 48 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.
Medium-thick glossy stock poster is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; there are large tape residue stains in all four corners, with a couple of semi-pronounced creases going across the lower margin, a few tiny stress bends/handling creases/edge dings/corner-tip bends and a few light surface spots along the top/left margins and a couple of slightly clipped corner tips, otherwise fine.
Not perfect, but still a very presentable 1st printing example of this early-'67 Avalon poster with a great photo of Big Brother guitarist James Gurley.
