Original 1st printing 11 x 16&7/8" concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing at the Old Renaissance Fairgrounds in Veneta, OR on 8/27/1972 (show was a benefit for the Kesey family-operated Springfield Creamery, and was "sponsored" by their main product, "Nancy's Honey of Yog(h)urt").
Art by Richard Sutton, medium-thick flat index goldenrod stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; as this example was on display at one of the ticket outlets, the "Grateful Dead" lettering, along with the date have been filled-in with black marker to make them more visible from far away, along with "Music Mellinneum (sic) & Longhair Music" handwritten in black ballpoint along the bottom margin (not sure where this one was displayed, but most likely somewhere in/around Portland); beyond the embellishments, there is a small surface pull in the bottom center margin (through the "g" of "Longhair"), a few light handling dings/soft surface smudges/tiny indention marks here and there, a couple of tiny edge/corner-tip creases and a slight moisture stain in the upper left margin/edge, otherwise OK... no holes/tears, etc.
As it goes without much explanation, this benefit concert was also the LEGENDARY Merry Prankster-hosted party that later became best known among Deadhead circles as "Field Trip"; the all-day event was filmed ("Sunshine Daydream", which was FINALLY officially released in 2013), and by all accounts was one of the most insane parties the Pranksters ever held; check out a clip of "Jack Straw" from the film HERE:
