Description

Original 1st printing 14 x 21&1/4" benefit (*for the American Indian Well-Baby Clinic) concert poster featuring Quicksilver Messenger Service appearing with Ace of Cups and a Native American Dance Troupe, held at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA on 7/10/1968.

Design by 7th Resemblance, image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 107 (plate 2.21) *show is misidentified as 1967, but the Tea Lautrec Litho credit places it later.

Medium flat index stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; there are four thin horizontal roll creases traversing the image area through "Quicksilver", through the center of the image area, across the top of "Ace" and "Indian" and through "Avalon Ballroom", along with a few well-camouflaged handling/stress creases here and there, a few soft surface smudges and a thin strip of toning across the upper right margin, otherwise fine.

Not perfect, but it still presents nicely- no holes/tears, etc. and it's a pretty hard poster to locate (in ANY condition).
