Original 1st printing 14 x 28&1/8" cardboard boxing-style/letterpress concert poster for Hot Tuna (featuring Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady from Jefferson Airplane) appearing with Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen and the New Riders of the Purple Sage at the Cherry Hill (NJ) Arena on 4/9/1972.
Thick cardboard stock poster (printed by Posters. Inc. of Philadelphia) is in decent/used (B/B- to B-) condition; there are a series of hard horizontal/vertical bends/creases traversing the several areas of the poster, a number of well-placed staple holes and tiny wedge pulls, a dime-sized hole/wedge pull in the ticket outlet area, extensive edge/corner wear (tape remnants, pulls, etc..), a number of surface scuffs and dings, etc... it's fairly obvious that this piece was pulled down from public display around the time of the event, it has all the tell-tale signs of a hasty removal.
Conditional issues aside, this is still a VERY cool (and uncommon) early-'70s boxing-style poster from a small suburban arena outside of Philadelphia featuring three of the hottest country/blues/hippie groups of the day.
