Description

Original 1st printing 11&1/4 x 15&1/4" 24-page newsprint event program for the San Francisco International Pop Festival, held at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, CA from 10/26-27/1968;

Design by Carson-Morris Studios, the program lists appearances by Iron Butterfly, Womb, MC Squared, Loading Zone, Buddy Miles, Procol Harum, Jose Feliciano, Mad River, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Canned Heat, Eric Burdon, Chambers Brothers, Deep Purple, Grass Roots, Johnny Rivers, Fraternity of Man, Rejoice! and Lee Michaels.

 Thin flat newsprint program is in very good (B/B+) condition; aside from a small area (about 1&1/2" square inches) of graphite pencil scribble in the lower left corner of the front page, a couple of tiny edge splits, a bit of spine wear and a touch of toning, the program is actually in really good shape- completely intact, with no other major issues.

 Very neat little original late-'60's multi-act festival artifact from a semi-obscure Bay Area event. Lots of cool ads, band bios and more... Check out an audience-taped compilation (with hilarious running commentrary) of the show HERE:
