Description

Original 1st printing 11 x 8&1/8" 16-page concert program and 2 x 3" (appx.- right side torn) ticket stub for the 1st Annual Sacramento Pop Music Festival, held at Hughes Stadium in Sacramento, CA on 10/15/1967

Program lists appearances by Jefferson Airplane, Hourglass (featuring Duane and Gregg Allman of the Allman Brothers Band), Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Sunshine Company, New Breed (featuring Timothy B. Schmidt (Poco/Eagles), Strawberry Alarm Clock (featuring Ed King of Lynyrd Skynyrd), Hamilton Streetcar and special guest stars Spirit.

Design by J. Scott, medium-thick textured stock program is in excellent (B+) condition; aside from a VERY light amount of handling wear (a couple of tiny pinch creases along the spine), a couple of tiny staple marks in the upper right corner of the front cover and a very thin soft vertical fold, it is in really nice shape. The ticket stub has handling/creasing, a hand-torn right edge, staple holes and a bit of pencil scratch on the reverse- tough to grade, but probably on the lower end of the spectrum, about a B- or so... still, a MEGA-scarce JA/Allman Brothers artifact.

ABSOLUTELY KILLER set of late-'67 regional festival artifacts from a semi-obscure one-day event. I have seen a few copies of the poster and numerous examples of the flyer/handbill over the years, but this is the first program/stub I have seen.
