Original 1st printing* 7 x 11" concert flyer/handbill for the Grateful Dead appearing with Charlie Musselwhite and Petris at the Carousel Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 5/30-6/1/1968.
Art by Alton Kelley, image ("Memorial") is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 179 (plate 2.160). *This example (like a number of these that were distributed at the time of the shows) has the days of the week (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) at the top blacked out with magic marker.
Medium flat index stock flyer is in decent/used (B-) condition; there are tack holes along the top/bottom margins, along with a series of edge tears and creasing along the bottom/lower right margins, a couple of diagonal corner creases, a small tear and a tiny nip or two along the left margin, a thin horizontal bend traversing the lower portion of "Memorial", a few handling dings and a soft stain on the reverse... this one has definitely been around the proverbial block, but it's still all there.
If you can get past the conditional issues, it's still a cool piece and worthy of a good home.
