Description
Original 1st printing 5 x 7" postcard-backed concert handbill/card for the Grateful Dead appearing with Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA on 1/27-28/1967.
Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley, image is # 45 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.
Medium flat index stock card is in near mint to excellent (A-/B+ to B+) condition; aside from a couple of tiny corner-tip bumps, a stray fingerprint mark or two lurking within the image area and a slightly-off register cut (this one has a 1/4" wider left margin and a slightly cropped stamp box/FD address on the reverse), it is a superb-looking 1st printing example of this classic Mouse/Kelley Grateful Dead image from the Avalon.
