Original 1st printing 8&1/2" x 13&7/8" small-edition concert poster/oversized flyer for "Barbeque '67", an all-day show held at the Tulip Bulb Auction Hall in Spalding, Lincolnshire, England on 5/29/1967, featuring performances by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Cream (featuring Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce), Pink Floyd (with Syd Barrett), the Move, Geno Washington & the Ram Jam Band, Zoot Money & His Big Roll Band and Sounds Force Five.
Medium flat vellum stock letterpress/boxing-style poster/flyer is in used (B-) condition; there is a fairly heavy amount of moisture-related creasing (the hall was apparently very humid), along with a LOT of surface wear (numerous scuffs/scrapes/scratches, surface dirt- likely from the dirt floor of the venue), surface chipping, a pair of semi-pronounced horizontal/vertical folds, a pair of nail holes in the top center margin and lower right corner and a fair amount of wear on the reverse... I am 99% certain that this one was picked up off the floor (this is the case with every single example I have seen over the last few years, each from a different source).
This example originally came from a small stash of 1st printing small format posters that had been held since the show by a member of the support group (Sounds Force Five).
An absolutely LEGENDARY show, in terms of never-before/never again lineups... read more about the event (including first hand-recollections) HERE;
