Original 1st printing 14 x 20" event poster for a performance of (beat poet) Michael McClure's one-act play, "The Beard", held at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA on 7/24/1966.

Art by Wes Wilson, image is # 19 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series (one of only a few images in the series that was not reprinted).

 Medium flat vellum stock poster is in good (B) condition; there are pin holes in all four corners, in the bottom center margin, in between the "ll" of "Fillmore" and in the "e" and "a" of "Beard", along with a couple of tiny pin-prick stains in the upper right margin, a few tiny creases/bends and a tiny nip tear or two scattered around the outer margin area, a few VERY light handling/stress bends hiding within the image area and a fairly large amount of ballpoint-pen scrawl on the reverse (with a somewhat intimidating message), otherwise it looks OK-  unlike a number of examples I have seen over the years, there is little to no toning/fading on this one... from a presentation point, it looks pretty nice.
