Description

Pair of original 1st printing concert artifacts for the San Francisco International Pop Festival, held at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, CA from 10/26-27/1968;

Near mint (A-) condition 5 x 6&3/4" double-sided (postcard/map reverse) glossy-coated index card featuring a design by Carson Morris Studios; just a tiny corner-tip crease and a whisper of handling, otherwise fine.

Very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition 5&3/4 x 7&3/4" thin paper stock boxing-style/letterpress handbill (printed by Tilghman Press); a bit of toning and a couple of thin diagonal creases along the left margin, along with a couple of stray handling dings, otherwise fine.

Acts listed include: Johnny Rivers, Jose Feliciano, Canned Heat, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Buddy Miles Express, Fraternity of Man, Deep Purple, Procol Harum, Chambers Brothers, Eric Burdon & the Animals and the Grass Roots. (*not all listed acts appeared, and there were a few additions- Mad River, Lee Michaels and a few others)

 Very neat little pair of original late-'60's festival artifacts from a semi-obscure event. Check out an audience-taped compilation (with hilarious running commentrary) of the show HERE:
