Original 1st printing 6&1/4 x 9&3/4" double-sided KYA-AM Top 40 radio survey/concert/event handbill for the first Northern California Folk-Rock Festival, held at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in San Jose, CA from 5/18-19/1968.
Handbill lists performances by the Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Big Brother & the Holding Company (with Janis Joplin), Eric Burdon & the Animals, Country Joe & the Fish, Electric Flag, Youngbloods, Loading Zone, People, Kaleidoscope, Taj Mahal, Transatlantic Flash, Smokestack Lightning, Crome Syrcus, Indian Head Band and the Dirty Blues Band. Also appeared (not listed): Grateful Dead
Artist unknown/not credited, thin flat stock handbill/survey is in decent (B/B-) condition; there is a tiny diagonal chunk of paper missing from the top left corner, along with pin/tack holes in the upper left/right corners and in the bottom center margin, a couple of small diagonal bends in the lower left/right corner tips, a couple of tiny edge tears, a few minor bends/handling creases hiding within the image area and around the outer margin area, a touch of surface wear and a soft horizontal bend traversing the upper part of the image area, otherwise fine.
Neat little concert artifact from the 1968 NCFR Fest! Check out footage of the Doors performing at the event HERE:
