Original 1st printing (*no Portal Publications credit) 15&7/8 x 22" concert poster for Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) appearing at the Ark in Sausalito, CA on 10/6/1967.

 Art by John Lichtenwalner (not credited), image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 224 (plate 309). 

 Medium flat vellum stock poster is in good (B) condition; the poster has been linen-backed (with a couple of tiny loose fibers peeking out from the sides), with a small thin vertical razor slice along the left margin (possibly trimmed 1/8" or less along the left margin to fit into a frame), plus a couple of tack holes in the upper left/right corners, a small surface chip just below the "n" of "concert" and a tiny wedge hole in the "e" of "dance", a couple of thin bends in the lower right corner and a pin-prick surface scuff or two hiding within the image area, otherwise it is a very presentable display copy of the semi-elusive 1st printing edition of this poster.
