Original 1st printing 11 x 4&3/8" concert handbill for "Bilbo's Birthday Party", a show featuring the Great Society (with a pre-Jefferson Airplane Grace Slick) appearing with the Charlatans and Big Brother & the Holding Company (with Janis Joplin), held at California Hall in San Francisco, CA on 7/28/1966 (*no date listed other than "Thursday"; poster (with the date) is featured in the Art of Rock on page 178, plate 2.156).

 Artist unknown/not credited, thin flat stock handbill is in near mint to excellent (A-/B+) condition; aside from a slightly rough hand-torn top edge (as issued) and a couple of well-camouflaged soft handling dings hiding within the image area, this is a very sharp example.

 As an added bonus, this lot includes an original 1966-era 3 x 3&1/2" Big Brother and the Holding Company sticker (see photo for condition).
