Original 1st printing 22 x 28" event poster for the 7/17/1967 opening of the Joint Show, held at the Moore Gallery in San Francisco, CA featuring music by Country Joe & the Fish and exhibited art by Rick Griffin (who did this version of the poster), Wes Wilson, Victor Moscoso, Stanley Mouse, Alton Kelley and more.
Art by the aforementioned Rick Griffin, image (1st Edition of 1200) is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 234 (plate 2.347), this is the SILVER FOIL version.
Thick foil-coated glossy stock poster is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; this example has a set of tack holes (all four corners), along with a series of thin horizontal creases/bends traversing the upper margin area, a couple of soft horizontal roll bends near the bottom of the image area, a 1" diagonal bend in the lower right corner, a couple of soft diagonal bends in the lower left corner, a series of extra-thin surface scratches, light scuffs/handling dings and thin stress creases hiding within the image area/outer margins and a set of tape pulls/remnants on the reverse, but is overall VERY nice-looking.
KILLER example of the elusive silver foil version of the infamous Rick Griffin poster from the Moore Gallery Joint Show. Check out Rick and Kelley conversing at the opening with Rick's Joint Show proofs clearly visible in the background. (photo c. 1967 Ted Streshinsky)
