Original 1st printing 22 x 28" art show/event poster for the 7/17/1967 opening of the Joint Show, held at the Moore Gallery in San Francisco, CA and featuring music by Country Joe & the Fish and exhibited art by Alton Kelley (who did this version of the poster), Rick Griffin, Victor Moscoso, Wes Wilson, Stanley Mouse and more.
Art by (and SIGNED in black flair pen by) the aforementioned Alton Kelley (with a Gene Anthony portrait of the Grateful Dead's Ron "Pigpen" McKernan), image (1st Edition 1200 regular version) is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 235 (plate 2.350), this is the GOLD FOIL edition.
Thick foil-coated glossy stock poster is in near mint (A- to A-/B+) condition; really nothing more than a couple of thin vertical indentation creases along the lower left margin, a soft corner-tip bend or two and a couple of stray fingerprint smudges here and there.... a VERY sharp/crisp example overall.
