Description

Original 1st printing 14&1/8 x 19&7/8" concert poster for the Steve Miller (Blues) Band appearing with Lee Michaels and the Peanut Butter Conspiracy at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 2/10-11/1967.

Art by Victor Moscoso, image ("Sphinxdance") is # 47 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.

Thick flat vellum stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there are tack holes in all four corners and in the top/bottom center margins, along with a series of fairly well-camouflaged thin stress bends/light creases scattered throughout the image area (a semi-common trait with this poster), a couple of thin bends/pressure creases in the corner tips and a couple of VERY light pulls on the reverse, otherwise fine.

Overall, a very nicely preserved example of the 1st printing Moscoso "Sphinxdance" poster.
