Description

Collection of three (3) original 1st printing concert handbills for a series of shows held at the Rock Pile in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Set consists of the following;

Thin flat stock 4&3/4 x 8" blank-reverse concert handbill for Howlin' Wolf appearing with Family on 4/19/1969 (*mislabeled 4/18) and with Ten Years After on 4/20/1969, along with a film night on 4/18 (*mislabeled 4/19). Designer unknown/not credited, handbill is in excellent (B+) condition; there are a couple of tiny pin-prick rust spots along the lower margin and just to the left of "Rock Pile", plus a light amount of handling wear, a pair of dark tape shadows on the reverse and a tiny rub mark/ink flaw in the upper right corner.

Medium-thin flat vellum stock 4&1/2 x 7&1/8" blank-reverse concert handbill for Deep Purple appearing with Transfusion on 12/22/1968. Designer unknown/not credited, handbill is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there is a tiny pin-prick rust spot/scuff mark in the lower margin, plus a light amount of handling wear, a pair of dark tape shadows on the reverse, a single tack hole and a tiny rust stain in the top center margin and a slightly rounded bottom left corner-tip.

Thin flat stock 5&1/2 x 8&1/2" blank-reverse concert handbill for the Crazy World of Arthur Brown appearing with Upland Windmill on 4/13/1969. Designer unknown/not credited, handbill is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there is a semi-pronounced thin diagonal bend and a couple of tiny pressure indentations traversing the left side of the image area, along with a tiny pin-prick spot in the left margin and a touch of handling wear.

Nifty little set of oddball 1969 concert artifacts from the short-lived Toronto venue.
