Original 1st printing 16&7/8 x 21&7/8" concert/event poster for the John Sinclair Freedom Rally,  held at Crisler Arena on the campus of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI on 12/10/1971.

Performers/speakers listed include: John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Archie Shepp & Roswell Rudd with CJQ, Phil Ochs, Up, Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen, Joy of Cooking and David Peel, Rennie Davis, Allen Ginsberg, Father James Groppi, Sheila Murphy, Jerry Rubin, Ed Sanders (the Fugs), Bobby Seale (Black Panthers), Leni Sinclair, Marge Tabankin and Jonnie Lee Tillmon.

Art by Gary Grimshaw, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 395 (plate 4.194).

Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in decent (B/B-) condition; there are several hard/pronounced thin horizontal roll creases traversing the center of the image area (across John Sinclair's face) and through one of the lines of type with the performers listed (Jerry Rubin, Ed Sanders, Bobby Seale), along with a pronounced curl to the paper from being rolled, a vertical stress creases in the top center of the J.S. photo, a few thin bends, a few handling/stress creases hiding within the image area, a couple of small diagonal corner-tip creases, a stray tiny edge tear or two and a few loose pin-prick age spots here and there... definitely not anywhere near mint, but still in presentable shape.

VERY COOL early-1970's Gary Grimshaw concert/event poster from one of the most important/polarizing political events held in Ann Arbor up to that point.
