Description

 Trio of original 1st printing double-sided concert postcards/handbills (February/March 1968, September 1968 and May 1969, the September '68 and May '69 cards have been machine addressed/mailed), for a series of shows held at La Cave in Cleveland, OH. Set consists of the following;

 4&1/4 x 10&1/8" schedule of shows from 2/2-3/24/1968, including: Tom Rush (2/2-4), Times Square Two (2/9-10), Tiffany Shade (2/16-17), Arlo Guthrie (2/23-25), Canned Heat (3/1-3), Mike Seeger (3/8-10), the Blues Project (AKA Sea Train, 3/12-17) and Doc Watson (3/22-24); medium flat vellum stock postcard reverse handbill is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; there are a couple of fairly pronounced bends/creases along the top/upper right margin, a couple of thin diagonal creases in the lower right corner, a bit of light handling wear and a tiny pull on the reverse, otherwise fine.

 4&3/8 x 7&1/4" schedule of shows from 8/30-9/29/1968, including: Blood, Sweat & Tears (8/30-9/1), Tom Rush (9/6-8), Procol Harum (9/10-12), Joni Mitchell (9/13-15), the Hello People (9/20-22) and Soft Machine (9/27-29); medium flat vellum stock postcard reverse handbill is in very good (B/B+) condition; there are a couple of tiny pin holes in the top center margin, along with a few tiny handling dings scattered around the outer margin area and a stray handling ding or two, otherwise fine.

 4&3/4 x 7&1/2" schedule of shows from 4/25-6/1/1968, including: Raven (4/25-27), Mr. Stress Blues Band (5/2-4), Jimmy Witherspoon (5/9-11), Brewer & Shipley (5/16-18), Sea Train (5/23-25) and Neil Young and Crazy Horse (5/30-6/1); medium flat vellum stock postcard reverse handbill is in good to very good (B/B+) condition; there are a pair of semi-pronounced diagonal bends in the lower left margin/corner, along with a tiny edge tear in the left center margin, a light amount of handling wear and a couple of tiny corner-tip creases, otherwise fine.

 FASCINATING set of schedules from one of Ohio's hippest nightclubs of the late-'60's, these cards highlight some of the earliest regional tour histories for a couple of fairly notable acts (Neil Young, Joni Mitchell).
