Official 1966 promoter-issued 2nd printing (union logo 221) 14 x 20" concert poster for the three-day "Batman Dance", held at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA from 3/18-20/1966. Performers listed include: the Mystery Trend, Big Brother & the Holding Company (pre-Janis Joplin) and the Family Tree (3/18), Quicksilver Messenger Service, Family Tree (again) and the Gentlemen's Band (3/19) and QMS (again) with the Great Society (featuring Grace Slick) and the Skins (3/20).
Art by (and SIGNED in pencil by) Wes Wilson, image is # 2 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series.
Medium flat vellum stock poster is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; there are a few tiny pin holes (all four corners), along with a series of thin horizontal/diagonal roll bends near the upper right corner/top margin (starting at the "m" of "Graham" extending to the right edge between the "n" of "Batman" and "Presents"), a small soft 1" diagonal bend in the bottom right corner, a small tape pull in the left center margin, a tiny tape residue mark in the top center margin and a few tiny surface marks/stray pinch dings here and there, otherwise fine.... looks much better in person than the description would have you believe.
Additionally, this example has been verified and notated on the back (in light pencil) by psychedelic poster expert Eric King. VERY nice-looking ARTIST-SIGNED example of the classic "Batman" poster!
