Original 1st printing 12&7/8 x 19&3/4" concert/event poster for beat poet Allen Ginsberg and Swami Bhaktivendanta appearing along with the Grateful Dead, Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) and Moby Grape in a benefit* performance (*for the San Francisco Krishna Temple), held at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA on 1/29/1967.
 
 Designer unknown, image ("Krishna Consciousness Comes West") is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 107 (plate 2.18).
 
 Medium flat vellum stock poster is in excellent (B+) condition; there is a subtle trace of matte burn going around the outer margin area, along with a VERY soft crescent-shaped bend and a nearly-invisible smudge in the 10:00 area of the interior circle, a tiny edge crease or two lurking around the outer margin area and a tiny pull on the reverse and otherwise fine.... no holes/tears, etc...
 
 An overall SUPERB-looking example of this early 1967 Avalon benefit concert poster from the AOR.
