Original 1st printing 13&3/4 x 20&7/8" concert poster for Jefferson Airplane appearing with Quicksilver Messenger Service, Santana, It's A Beautiful Day and Dan Hicks & His Hot Licks in a legal-aid benefit for the Grateful Dead (to assist the band's legal costs from their infamous January 1970 bust in New Orleans), held at Winterland in San Francisco, CA on 2/23/1970.
Art by (and SIGNED in silver pen by) Randy Tuten, image is # 222 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series.
Medium glossy-coated index stock poster is in good (B) condition; the main issue with this example is about a roughly 2" area of missing border/edge paper along the upper left margin (likely either from mice or silverfish); other than that, it's pretty nice looking- a few well-camouflaged handling dings/stress bends hiding within the image area, a couple of VERY soft corner bends and a stray fingerprint smudge or two here and there, otherwise fine.
Aside from the margin issue, it's still a fairly decent artist-signed example of one of the harder-to-find images in the BG numbered series.
