Original 1st printing 14 x 21&1/2" concert poster for Country Joe & the Fish appearing with Led Zeppelin (their San Francisco debut) and Taj Mahal at the Fillmore West in San Francisco, CA from 1/9-11/1969.
Art by (and SIGNED in silver pen by) Randy Tuten (with William "Daddy Bread" Bosdedt and a photo by Peter Pynchon), image is # 155 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series.
Medium glossy-coated stock poster is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; there are a couple of fairly pronounced corner bends and tack holes and a bit of creasing in all four corners, along with a series of tiny edge creases scattered around the outer margin area, a few semi-camouflaged handling dings and tiny stress creases here and there, a touch of toning and a light moisture stain above "Joe", otherwise fine... an overall presentable-looking used example.
Additionally, this poster really has a lot going for it, in a historical sense... Country Joe's guests on the final night (1/11) included Jerry Garcia and Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead, Jorma Kaukonen of Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna (incidentally, the Airplane's Jack Casady was filling in on bass for Country Joe at all of these shows) and Steve Miller.
A HUGE night at the Fillmore for only $3.50!
