Original 11 x 8&1/2" double-sided (reverse is a "Policies and Procedures" cover sheet for Grossmont Union High School District (Santee, CA) flyer, "Legion of Mary", featuring an image of seven lightning bolt-wielding winged warriors by the one and only Rick Griffin.

 Medium-thick flat index stock flyer is in very good (B/B+) condition; there is a soft 2" diagonal bend in the upper right corner, along with a bit of light toning around the outer margin area, a couple of tiny pin-prick/hairline surface marks, a tiny split in the upper left margin  and a tiny corner-tip bump or two, otherwise fine.

**Apparently, the Legion of Mary was an organization associated with the school district mentioned on the reverse side of the piece, which "was a continuation school for high-school students that got kicked out of other schools and needed further help in order to get their high school diploma(s)" (**Thanks Jim H. for the info!)... Either way, a pretty scarce Griffin item any way you care to slice it. (*side note-this same image was used for the business card of Rick's partner Gordon McClelland in the '70's)
