Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert/event flyer for a benefit show held for Artistic Reorganization Throughout San Francisco, (a/k/a A.R.T.S.), featuring Allen Ginsberg appearing with Sopwith Camel, Gary Goodrow (the Committee), the San Francisco Mime Troupe and MANY more at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA on 7/17/1966.
Artist unknown (illegible credit), image is not part of the numbered Bill Graham/Fillmore series (this show falls on the day after the BG 17 shows) and is an ALTERNATE image for the image pictured in the Art of Rock on page 152 (plate 2.75) in the "Fillmore Auditorium Benefits" chapter.
Thin flat stock flyer is in decent (B-) condition; there is a large area of uneven toning covering most of the image area, along with a semi-flattened center crease, a couple of tiny edge/corner-tip dings, a small nip tear in the left margin, a small round dark stain in the upper right corner (also on the reverse side) and a bit of light creasing, otherwise OK.
Conditional issues aside, this is still a pretty tough find as far as the early Fillmore benefits go. First one I have come across.
